INFORMATION DESTRUCTION REQUIREMENT COMING TO KENTUCKY

On March 12th the Kentucky Post reported that having been unanimously approved by Kentucky’s House Judiciary Committee, the ID Theft prevention bill put forth by Attorney General Jack Conway and Rep. Robin Webb will now be presented to the full Kentucky House of Representatives.

Among the dozen or so significant provisions of the law, which is expected to pass easily, is a requirement for businesses to destroy sensitive personal information prior to disposal.
