BBB EVENT SET FOR MAY 3RD – AND LOOKING AHEAD TO SEPTEMBER
 
NAID and the Council of Better Business Bureaus (BBB) are now set for the inaugural “Secure Your ID Days,” in which the organizations will combine to offer free destruction services on a promotional basis at more than 60 major markets across the US and Canada on Saturday, May 3rd.
 
Additionally, over 50 NAID Members have chosen to hold their own promotional event on that same day. While the BBB’s advance promotion will focus on the locations they are sponsoring, NAID will be promoting all locations, including posting site locators on its website and providing press releases for members to use locally.
 
The credit reporting giant, Equifax, Inc., has also joined the initiative as a top level sponsor, lending their name and credibility to the promotion.
 
The May 3rd event is the first of two “Secure Your ID Days” events that NAID and the BBB will sponsor in 2008. The second will be held in September. It is expected that the second event will build on the success of the first, adding many more markets and more national sponsors.
