EXCITEMENT BUILDS FOR FIRST NAID-AUSTRALASIA CONFERENCE

PROMINENT SECURITY DIRECTORS AND INTERNATIONAL EXPERTS AMONG PRESENTERS

While the 2010 NAID Australasia Conference Committee waits to receive commitments from some speakers, those that are already appearing signal good things for the inaugural association event in the region.

Among the notables security professionals already scheduled to speak are Craig Millar, the Head of Security Australia/New Zealand for Citigroup., Martin Beaven, the Security Project & Technologies Manager for Qantas Airways, and Wade Porter, the National Security Manager for Sun Microsystems.  These professionals will address the importance of employee compliance to data protection, a subject sure to draw a lot of interest.

The conference will also feature Ms. Angie Keating, one of the most highly regarded experts in the area of electronic data management, recovery, forensics and destruction.  Ms. Keating presence will attract many IT and legal professionals who will want to take advantage of the opportunity to hear the perspective of such a noted authority on the subject.

Planners still have some ambitious plans for the keynote speaker.  Promotion of the event to human resource, privacy, records management, security and facilities professionals will begin next month with a combination of advertising and direct mail.

The working title of the event is “From Theory to Practice: Practical Data Protection Solutions for Today's Organizations.”
