NAID EXECUTIVE TO SPEAK AT BSI CONFERENCE IN UK
On the 24th of June, a little more than 3 weeks away, NAID-Europe CEO Bob Johnson will be among a number of notable information security experts speaking at the British Standards Institution’s 2nd Annual Data Protection Conference in London.
NAID-Europe members seeking a broader frame of reference on general data protection issues are encouraged to attend.
Johnson’s presentation, “Effective Information Destruction Policy Development” will cover such items as:
· Overlooked data destruction precautions
· Employee training and compliance strategies
· Dealing with electronic data destruction
· Vendor selection criteria and contracts
In addition to Bob’s appearance as a speaker, NAID-Europe is also one of the sponsors of the event and will distribute educational literature and a NAID-Europe Member Directory to all attendees.
Among the other speakers at the event, David Smith, UK Deputy Commissioner and Director of Data Protection, will speak on “The ICO - New Powers, New Penalties and a New Organisation?” answering such questions as:

· What can you expect from ICO audits?
· When will we see a law on breach notifications?
