FREE NAID WEBINAR TO COINCIDE WITH CSDS™ CURRICULUM RELEASE

As previously announced, a NAID Task Force is developing a new secure destruction industry accreditation program where individuals can become Certified Secure Destruction Specialists™ (CSDS).  As part of the project, the CSDS Task Force has been identifying educational resources and creating training opportunities to prepare for testing, which will begin early next year.

On Thursday, July 22st, the CSDS Task Force will release a list of educational resources, which constitute the body of industry knowledge that is required for the test.  The majority of the 40-plus educational resources identified are freely available to NAID members in the form of articles or guidelines.  Some of the materials must be obtained from outside sources, but the list will provide details on how to obtain them. There are a few items that are still in development, such as the ASTM Secure Destruction Industry Health and Safety Guidelines, which will be accessible soon.

In addition to announcing the list of educational materials that will constitute the CSDS “body of knowledge,” the Task Force will also release details on a series of optional CSDS Training Webinars as well as CSDS Immersion Classes that will be available starting in August.

FREE WEBINAR: Anyone interested in learning more about becoming a Certified Secure Destruction Specialist is welcome to attend a FREE CDSD Webinar that will be offered Monday, August 2nd at 2:00 PM EST and again on August 3rd at 11 AM EST.

Details on how to access the FREE CSDS Webinar will be provided when the CSDS Educational Resources are released on July 22nd. These resources will also be posted on the NAID website.
