BUSINESS CLAIMS DATA BREACH IS ACCIDENTAL

June 23, 2010- A local commercial real estate company, Atkins & Associates, says it accidentally discarded real estate records, which contained sensitive personal information. As some readers may know, Georgia was the first state to legally require destruction of sensitive records, though local law enforcement indicated they would not pursue this case, given the fact that the company retrieved the records from the dumpster when notified of the incident.
