PRESS RELEASE BY ONTARIO IPC DISCUSSES NAID COLLABORATION
The office of Ontario’s Information and Privacy Commissioner issued a press release explaining the events leading up to Dr. Cavoukian’s recent collaboration with NAID.
Among the many interesting items contained in the release, it comments on the fact that two of the six PHIPA Orders issued by the Commissioner’s office since the law was passed have been related to improper disposal. What is does not mention is that a third PHIPA Order was issued in a case where medical records had been abandoned, meaning half of the disciplinary actions taken under the law were related to end of life records management.
